Strip me of my first layer of skin
I promise I'll be ok.
Show my insides wet and gleaming,
Who needs life anyway?

Tears of scarlet red
As I lie in my cold bed.
Please just kill me in my sleep,

"Pain can be your only friend,"
My heart whispers to me.
Never dying, never fading.
Pain will set you free.

Numbness only kills,
Pain can kill or make you stronger.
It can build you up inside,
Or tear you down, make you hurt longer.

Russian roulett,
Pull the trigger.
Who will be the next to die?
Cuts get deeper,
Pain gets greater.
There are no more tears to cry.

Hold her body as she dies,
Watch the life go from her eyes.

I put up walls around my heart,
To keep the pain away.
The only problem is
These walls keep happiness at bay.
